What is the MAPP/LexYouth Book Club?
For over five years, LexYouth and MAPP have brought elementary schoolers together to learn science and history in a book club setting. Led by large teams of high school tutors to maximize individual student attention, students learn together through reading and discussion.
What topics does the Book club cover?
Beginning in 2025, the Book Club will introduce the fascinating field of physics to all who attend. We will read the incredible We Have No Idea by Jorge Cham and Daniel Whiteson, an introduction to the deep questions physicists tackle. In this way, we hope to enrich the curiosity with which the youth view and understand the world.
What happens to the proceeds?
All proceeds are donated to local non-profits and charities!
